A user is able to search all content on the site using a 'google style' integrated search bar including an auto-suggest feature. By default, searches on our site will return only results containing all words entered into the search box, without case sensitivity or spell-checking, and without regard to your access rights to the content.

A user then has the ability to narrow down their search results to only view items which they have access to. To do this uncheck the 'Include Preview-Only content' check-box:

Search results can be refined by: 'Content Type', 'Discipline', 'Subdiscipline' and 'Language' using the option in the left-hand column:

Additional search options include:

Search Within: A user has the ability to search within a search. A user has the ability to search within a journal, book or book series.

Sort Search: A user is able to sort the search results by newest or oldest items. A user is able to sort a search by relevance to a keyword that has been entered

Filter By Date: Users are able to narrow down their search by filtering on a specific year or a range of years.

Due to technical difficulties, we are currently unable to present more than fifty search page results. There is continued work to improve the search engine, and we are expecting to be able to display search results greater than fifty pages in early-to-mid 2024.
