Licenses and terms and conditions for Librarian Portal orders

When you order single eBooks through the Librarian Portal, you usually only need to agree to our terms and conditions once per year. In some cases, you may need to agree less often.

You can still choose to agree to the terms and conditions with every order.

Your first eBook order in the Librarian Portal

The first time you order eBooks through the Librarian Portal, we will ask you to agree to our general terms and conditions.

You can agree:

  • during checkout
  • via DocuSign
  • through another approved method

Two radio options: agree to licensing terms now (link), or defer agreement via DocuSign or other method.

If your billing country is China

If your billing country is China, you must agree to the terms and conditions via DocuSign.

If you have negotiated terms and conditions

You may already have negotiated terms with us, for example as part of your annual renewal.

If you want those negotiated terms to apply to orders placed through the Librarian Portal, contact your licensing manager. They can set this up for you.

Your later eBook orders in the Librarian Portal

For your second and later orders, you do not usually need to agree to the terms and conditions again.

Instead, you can choose to apply your previous agreement to the new order.

Two radio options: apply terms of quote Q-107687 (PDF) or request other terms to be arranged.

We will still email you a license agreement PDF for your records.

If we have published new terms and conditions

Once a year, we publish new versions of our terms and conditions. When we do, we may ask you to agree to the new version before you place another order.
